The Tiny Pawtucket Bake Shop For Delicious Pies, Turnovers, And Minis

Searching Out PVD Pies In Hope Artiste Village

JANUARY around these parts is all about function over fash-un (in other words, wearing your coziest clothing and footwear) and comfort food.

And by comfort eats, I mean made-by-hand, small batch lunch or dinner (and dessert) pies.

I LOVE pies, but making a crust is not high on my list of to-do’s this season.

Or ever, to be totally honest. (Do you know how difficult it is to make a great pie crust?)

If you’re on the same page, then you will want to add PVD Pies to your winter rotation.

Homemade taste without the hassle!

Open since 2020, this tiny bake shop tucked away in Hope Artiste Village in Pawtucket has quietly been winning people over with their mini Chicken Pot, Sheperd’s, and Chicken Broccoli Alfredo Pies.

Regulars also go gaga over their Kentucky Bourbon and Pumpkin versions.

And because they are perfectly sized for one person, you can enjoy on your own in front of the telie or whilst working on your laptop.

Or make everyone in your world happy by picking up a variety of different ones as a wintertime treat.

The owner, Gina, also offers Take And Bake Pies, so all you have to do pre-heat the oven and pop them in until they’re sufficiently warmed. She even takes special orders.

Last time we were there, I grabbed a bunch of Minis (including an apple and a chocolate cream), an enormous Chicken Pot Pie for my momma, and some butternut squash Handhelds (I call them turnovers) that were out of this world.

PVD Pies has weekly specials and is usually open Wednesday thru Friday, from 12 to 4pm and Saturdays 10am to 1pm.

As always, if you take a Rhode trip over after reading this, please let them know you were inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.
