We Brunched At The New Eatery On Broad Street In Cranston & Wow

Recently a friend tipped me off about a new restaurant in the space where JP Spoonem’s used to be.

When the owners of JPS announced they were retiring and closing up shop last January for 40 years, there was a major outpouring of sadness online and in real life which I totally got.

I mean, I was lucky enough to get a table there a few times. (The wait on weekends could be lengthy!)

Well, news flash — All Favorites Cafe is a terrific replacement for that beloved casual dining destination.

When we walked in the other day (psst…if you’re reading this on a Monday, that’s the only day that they are in fact closed, so plan accordingly), we were treated to welcoming energy (courtesy of someone that I’m guessing is either a manager or an owner), fab service, tasty food plated in a photogenic way (don’t hate me but that matters now more than ever) in a bright, sparkling clean space.

This is a praiseworthy 21st century spin on diner culture, thankfully with options for those of us who are vegetarian or plant based. For example, I got a side of sliced avocado instead of breakfast meat.

Also, I heart that they serve SOURDOUGH toast, another modern take on a classic din-ah side.

And while you can never ever go wrong with breakfast served all day, the lunch offerings at this Edgewood gem also look quite tempting. (We’re definitely going back in the not-too-distant future to try some of their sandwiches and salads.)

Find All Favorites Cafe at 1678 Broad Street in Cranston, Rhode Island.
