There's A New Coffee House Opening In North Kingstown This Week, And Wow

This new-ish Rhode Island based company combines two (2) of my passions — incredible coffee and lighthouses. (I’ve been over-posting about lattes AND Rose Island and Pomham Rocks for ages, wink!)

Lighthouse Coffee, a wife and husband operation launched in November 2021 that’s all about sustainability (their coffee pods are crafted from recyclable plastic AND they’re the 1st all-electric and zero emission roasters in the Ocean State) and blends inspired by local lights, is opening the doors to their cafe on Post Road in North Kingstown today, and I can’t wait to pop in for a cup or three.

You can get all kinds of beverages (in addition to pipping hot coffee and cold brew, they’ll be offering teas, chai, and freshly pressed juices) and baked goods in case you need an am or afternoon nosh.

Also, you can shop their selection of fair trade blends, many named for Rhody beacons and beach-y locations.

Got a friend who loves Watch Hill?

Grab a 12oz of their WH blend that features notes of toasted almond, caramel, and bittersweet choc.

Has someone in your fam relocated and now misses the OS? (Heyyy, it happens.)

Send them some Dutch or Rose Island, Bristol Ferry, Plum Beach, or Sandy Point caaawfee ☕️ from Lighthouse!

And they ship nationally, folks, so no worries about getting it from point A to point B.

Owners Courtney and Rob are also debunking lotsa myths (shining a light on all things java) about coffee roasting, storage, and such over on their Instagram.

Find Lighthouse Coffee Roasters & Cafe on 7446 Post Road in North KIngstown, Rhode Island.
