The Tiny Coffee Shop In Little Compton For Hot Drinks, Snacks, And Local Art

Just when you think you have the inside track on all the terrific places in Little Compton, someone throws a curve ball.

I say this because an old friend of mine and her husband checked in from this great looking little place called The Art Cafe a few years ago and just knew I had to get there as soon as possible.

Then, unpack all the details here, wink.

Open since approximately 2012, The Art Cafe is not fancy schmancy.

It is a quirky and cute roadside spot, located on the Town Commons.

Yes, the locals adore it and I’m guessing they want very much to keep it quiet, so that it doesn’t get overrun by out of towners and lookie-loos. (Can’t blame them really.)

Some enchanting things about it? Stained glass, twinkle lights (WHO doesn’t love those?), and local art on the walls of the adjacent-to-the-java space.

Regulars rave about their iced coffee (don’t know who would be drinking anything on ice during the winter in RI but whatevs), teas, and hot coffee.

They also usually have a small, curated selection of snacks and baked goods on hand.

It’s an ideal stop if you’re out for a morning excursion this season and need a hot drink and a nosh.

Also, this Sunday (December 3rd) from 10am to 1pm they will be hosting a New Art Celebration.

The Art Cafe is open 8am to 12noon and is located at 7 South of Commons Road in Little Compton.
