The Adorable Charlestown Cafe For Coffee, Breakfast, And Casual Lunch

Friday in Charlestown

Charlestown, Rhode Island

The other day we were looking for somewhere to get 2nd breakfast when Trisha Kelley Photography suggested THIS PLACE.

The Beach Rose Cafe is really something special and I can’t believe I’d never been there before.

We motored over after the ribbon cutting for Thomas Dambo’s 1st GIANT TROLL (named Eric ROCK) at Ninigret Park. (A 2nd one, Greta GRANITE, was also unveiled this weekend.)

First of all, The Beach Rose is ADORABLE with their signature pink rose emblazoned on the outdoor tables, signage inside and out, at the counter where you place your order, and on their merch indoors (choose from tumblers, swestshirts, and tees).

The pink and eggplant striped walls are pretty eye-catching too, and when you walk in, they really elevate the interior and first impression.

The menu is HUGE, too. For everyone who asks about gluten free, they had at least a half dozen baked goods and such that were GF on Friday. (I get quite a few folks asking about gf options.)

We ordered their generously-sized breakfast sandwiches (on made-in-house sourdough bread) along with two pear, spinach and banana SMOOTHIES.

Excellent taste and presentation, and no surprise — both were made FRESH. No reheating sammies that’ve been hanging around, ya know? Or handing smoothies over the counter that were made who-knows-when.

Regulars rave about their cinnamon buns (a gig fan fave) , bagels, cawfee (they use SEAWORTHY), matcha, and more.

There is also a big parking lot, so no need to stress about finding a spot. (Of course it’s probably packed in the peak summer months)

You gotta motor over for brekkie or lunch, especially if you take a RHODE trip to see the TROLLS this spring and summah.

Take that friend who lives for what’s new in RI and who will appreciate this stylishly little eatery.

The Beach Rose Cafe is located at 1 Charlestown Beach Road in Charlestown, RI.
