The Portuguese Inspired Cafe In East Providence That's Like A Trip To Lisbon Or Porto

Yesterday at Cafe Zara in East Providence

The other day was my first visit to Cafe Zara on Taunton Avenue — and how did I NOT know about this incredible spot sooner?

I mean, it has dozens upon dozens of five star reviews and I’m practically kicking myself over missing out on it until now.

From the street (it’s across from East PVD City Hall), you simply cannot tell how LOVELY this large, sun-filled, and Portuguese inspired coffee shop is.

It was pretty busy yesterday but I managed to snag the swing seat in the front window and grab a delicious LONDON FOG.

For my NEXT excursion there (trust me, you’ll want to bookmark it for when you GO), going to order their Lisbon Morning which sounds like a refreshing and elegantly simple breakfast plate you would enjoy on a getaway to that popular city in Portugal. Also, regulars rave about their spins on traditional donuts, tostas (tosta mista, toasted cheese and ham, is a staple in Portugal), flavored lattes and iced coffees, egg sammies, bowls, and so much more.

The bakery selection on Monday afternoon featured LEMON CORNMEAL CAKE (a nice nod to SPRING 2024), ALMOND CROISSANT, and CHOC HAZELNUT BOMBOLONI.

You’re gonna absolutely LOVE it there.
